Royal College of Nursing (RCN) 2 roles: Audit Committee Chair & Independent Committee Member
The College needs to appoint a Chair to the Audit Committee and an Independent Committee Member. The postholder will have responsibility for overseeing the financial reporting process to ensure the balance, transparency and integrity of published
financial information for the RCN and RCN Group and to advise Council on the effectiveness of its control environment to support and enhance the delivery of the organisation’s work and strategic priorities. Full details available here

RCN Foundation Investment Committee Member
This is a new charity registered in 2010 and was essentially established to promote the science and art of nursing and the better education and training of the nursing team and to promote the advancement of nursing as a profession in all its branches. The Investment Committee is an expert Committee with responsibility for overseeing the management of the RCN Foundation Investment portfolio. They are looking for one or more independent advisers who are not on the Board of Trustees and are specifically looking for someone with a financial background ideally from the investment industry. The Barnet Group is a new group of companies being set up by Barnet Council, a Local Authority Trading Company providing a range of services through three subsidiaries. This is an innovative venture that will establish a new relationship with citizens in the borough whilst providing a more flexible and efficient service

They're seeking a single Chair to oversee all 3 boards, as well as a NED who will sit on the Group board and act as Vice Chair for one subsidiary board. They are particularly interested in hearing from people with a background in commerce, adult social care and finance although each role will have a different emphasis.
